Delivering ambition

Swindon has a proven track record of delivering transformative infrastructure, regeneration and cultural projects that shape the future of the town and attract investor confidence.

From the £72 million infrastructure-led New Eastern Villages development unlocking 8,000 homes and new communities, to the award-winning Wichelstowe joint venture delivering 3,000 sustainable homes with schools, green spaces and a new M4 underpass, Swindon is building for growth.

The £33 million Fleming Way transformation has reimagined the town centre with a new bus interchange, green public spaces and improved connectivity, catalysing further investment and urban renewal.

Now Swindon is adding a landmark cultural asset to its story.

£20 million has been secured for a new 1,200-seat Entertainment Venue at Kimmerfields, with capacity for 2,000 standing. It is due to open by late 2028.

Designed to host national touring shows, it will rank among the top performance venues outside London, bringing footfall, dwell time and spend directly into the town centre.

Independent analysis indicates the venue will boost land values in the surrounding area by 7 to 15%, significantly strengthening the investment case for Kimmerfields and the wider Heart of Swindon.

These projects together demonstrate Swindon’s ability to plan, fund and deliver complex developments that meet housing, transport, economic and cultural needs.
